Baselworld 2018: the best of Rolex, Tudor and Patek Philippe

The undisputed protagonists of Baselworld 2018 were the world-renowned brands Rolex, Tudor & Patek Philippe. Visitors from around the globe came to admire the new creations of the most important watch and jewelry brands known for their combination of tradition and innovation.

Rolex, a mainstay of the watch industry, thrilled the world with its new 2018 watches:  first and foremost, the GMT-Master II, the descendant of the famous GMT-Master whose peculiarity consists in being able to simultaneously read the time of two time zones.
Originally designed as a navigational tool for pilots, it still presents innovations in both technology and style. In fact, the GMT-Master range has added two new deluxe models made of 18-carat Everose gold and Everose Rolesor. But the real news is the inclusion of the 3285 caliber, an emblem of Rolex’s cutting-edge technology that offers advantages in terms of precision, autonomy, impact resistance, comfort and reliability.

Tudor, meanwhile, paid tribute to its origins with a new classic line, TUDOR 1926, whose name refers to the year in which Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf created “The Tudor” brand.

The 1926 line, which represents elegance and classic style, comes in four different sizes with a wide selection of dials. Decorated at their center, the dials reveal a wealth of details such as the embossed design of the Arabic numerals, arrow-shaped hour markers, and lancet hands that all create a remarkable play of light. Finally, the bracelet in steel or in steel and rose gold, with a combination of shiny and brushed metal links, was designed for the comfort of its wearer.

Patek Philippe, a pioneer in the sector, presented several sophisticated deluxe models at Baselworld. Among these, the 5270/1R of the Grand Complications collection deserves special mention. The men’s chronograph with perpetual calendar was presented in a new rose gold version with the exclusive new “Goutte” bracelet that makes it elegant and refined. We will be happy to welcome you at our historic Milanese boutique to provide more information about these new models presented at Baselworld.
